Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.
We are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to oversee and manage facility infrastructure, utility systems, and critical support projects in our single-crystal diamond singulation operations in Zaragoza, Spain. This role involves planning, executing, and optimizing projects related to process cooling water, UPS, HVAC, ultra-high-purity gas distribution, and electrical infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted, efficient, and high-tech manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the facilities team, contractors, tool install teams, and process engineers to drive project execution while ensuring compliance with semiconductor industry standards.

- Manage contractors and vendors, including bidding, contract negotiations, scope definition, performance tracking, and ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate construction, maintenance, and system modifications within an active Fab environment. Ensure contractors comply with Fab safety protocols, EU directives, and local environmental regulations.
- Utilize AutoCAD or similar software to design facility layouts, piping diagrams, and electrical schematics for facility modifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in facilities project engineering within high-tech manufacturing facilities.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor Fab utility systems, including any of the following: uninterrupted power supply (UPS), process cooling water (PCW), UHP gas distribution, deionized (DI) water, compressed dry air (CDA), and HVAC systems
- Experience with construction, expansions, and modifications. Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
