Reporting to the Operations Manager, the production supervisor is responsible for ensuring the correct running of a production shift so that the team can achieve the targets of the organization. It’s primarily concerned with keeping a safe working environment, achieving the production program efficiently, and ensuring good labor practices. The job will be hands-on, conducting production operations.
Responsibilities
- Guarantee compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Ensure the order, cleanliness, and the correct use of the equipment and facilities.
- Supervise and execute production to ensure delivery and quality required.
- Encourage, motivate, and support the team under your command to achieve manufacturing objectives. Promote and collaborate in the training of work teams and the personnel involved to achieve the maximum possible versatility.
- Plan and distribute workloads between workstations and shifts, assigning workers to different jobs according to their capabilities and skills.
- Promote a Lean culture within the organization and support continuous improvement activities carried out on the site.
Requirements:
- Intermediate or Higher Degree in Electricity, Electronics, Installation, Maintenance, or military technical training certificate in mechanics, electricity, equipment, systems, or equivalent proven work experience.
- Effective communication and ability to thrive in a cross-functional team. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities. Used to work with metrics and KPIs/goals.
- Proven experience supervising teams of 10-15 people.
- Languages: fluent Spanish is a must, and the ability to verbally communicate in English is desirable.
- Shift work schedule.
