Diamond Foundry is looking for a talented and capable SCADA Controls Engineer to join our team. This person will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and industrial control systems (ICS), including PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human-Machine Interfaces), Industrial Networks, ensuring automation completion is timely, delivered, and compliant with technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of control system principles, communication protocols, and cybersecurity best practices within an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- SCADA Design and Development: Responsible for the design, development, and commissioning of complete SCADA system architectures, including HMIs, communication networks, data historians, and reporting systems, with experience in software such as Siemens and Ignition.
- Control System Implementation and Integration: In charge of the implementation, integration, and commissioning of PLCs, RTUs, and other control hardware into the SCADA system, configuring communication protocols and developing control logic.
- System Maintenance and Support: Provides ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for existing SCADA and control systems, including backups, disaster recovery testing, management of updates, and diagnosis of failures.
- Data Management and Analysis and Cybersecurity: Configures and manages data historians for the analysis and visualization of KPIs, implements and maintains cybersecurity measures following best practices and regulations, conducting security assessments and applying policies.
- Collaboration, Communication, and Regulatory Compliance: Works in collaboration with other teams, communicates system status, and participates in projects, ensuring that designs and implementations comply with company standards, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field combined with 4+ years of experience in SCADA and industrial control system design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in one or more SCADA software platforms (Siemens WinCC OA/TIA Portal, Ignition). Strong understanding of PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, others).
- Fluency in English.
