We are looking for an Equipment Systems Technician to help set up and support our Trujillo, Spain, manufacturing location. This position will be focused on production systems and industrial networking support, along with operating and implementing a set of software tools. You'll be building and troubleshooting new production tools, working with an experienced team of mechanical, electrical, metrology, and software engineers, both with the help of our US-based team, assisting engineers, and pushing projects to completion. This position will report to the Spain Engineering Lead, Equipment, and will be instrumental in helping our manufacturing site operate most efficiently and securely.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting industrial control/electrical/L1-L3 network systems, including high voltage power supplies, switches, controllers, sensors, cameras, pumps, PLCs, valves, and other devices.
- Planning and executing upgrades and retrofits to improve tool reliability and process capabilities. This may include working with programmable power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other common benchtop testing tools.
- Organizing and maintaining documentation so others can understand and use it, writing procedures and checklists, assisting and training maintenance.
- Working on multidisciplinary teams to solve complicated problems.
- Sourcing system components from software and hardware vendors where appropriate.
Requirements
- Vocational training in Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications field or similar discipline (Experience can be a substitute for formal education).
- 3+ years of hands-on engineering/manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and edit control schematics and P&ID drawings.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Open to traveling to the US for training if needed.
