You’re already an industry expert, with a strong sense for the drivers and trends that are transforming the reality capture space, and can convincingly and effectively demonstrate DroneDeploy’s solutions using documented customer evaluation plans and use-case adoption examples.
You will be the primary industry and solutions resource for our high accuracy surveying focused customers, taking a consultative approach with our customers and prospects, identifying their use cases and operational challenges, driving value-based alignment between customer needs and the DroneDeploy platform and services. This is a critical role in our Go-To-Market team, working with our US, APAC and European sales territory leaders to support existing and prospective customers as their trusted industry and product advisor.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams around survey and high accuracy workflows for both ground and aerial applications.
- Lead technical discovery, validation, and execution of high accuracy workflows and needs in partnership with the Solutions Engineer, Customer Success Manager, and the Account Executive with the customer.
- Define, document, and continuously refine best practices for survey workflows, including proactive consulting, reactive support, and internal/external product guidance.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for technical issues related to Ground Control Points (GCPs), DXF, and IFC uploads, providing guidance to the Solutions Engineering (SE) team and resolving escalated issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Support, Services, and Solutions Engineering teams to align on goals, resource capacity, and execution plans for survey standards.
- Lead monthly retrospectives with key stakeholders (e.g., Services, Product, Support, Account Executives, and CSMs) to identify challenges, successes, and actionable solutions to improve survey-related workflows.
- Establish and track key metrics to measure the quality and performance of survey workflows and products, including: Percentage of maps with red flags, GCP/Checkpoint average RMSE, Support ticket volume and resolution time related to accuracy, Survey SKU churn/expansion metrics, Adoption and usage of high-accuracy mapping features.
- Partner with Sales Enablement to create and deliver resources, technical documentation, and collateral to help sales and CSM teams position and sell survey-related programs effectively.
- Deliver internal training sessions on technical topics such as GCP best practices and Managed Accuracy workflows to strengthen team knowledge.
- Author technical whitepapers and customer case studies that showcase the accuracy, quality, and value of DroneDeploy’s survey products and services in partnership with marketing.
- Lead webinars, workshops, and in-person events to educate customers and prospects on DroneDeploy’s survey capabilities and best practices.
- Act as a voice of the customer, providing structured feedback to Product and Support teams to influence roadmap priorities and feature enhancements.
- Advocate for survey customers by identifying common pain points and proactively proposing solutions that improve customer satisfaction and workflow efficiency.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of survey-related field experience or similar understanding of CRS, various datums, and series and ground surveying methodologies
- Experience using Autodesk product such as Civil 3D, Recap, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software
- Experience using Photogrammetry tools including by not exclusive to Bentley, Agisoft, Pix4D, or similar tools
- Licensed Surveyor preferred (PMP)
- Prior Pre-sales, solutions engineering or customer-facing experience with enterprise SaaS platforms preferred
- Experience in a program/operations management role with an energy, construction, architecture, mining or engineering organization preferred
- Must be able to obtain a Part 107 UAV pilot’s license within 90 days of employment start date
- Able to travel and visit customers as required (1 week a month) domestically and internationally
- Exceptional communication skills, including demonstrated experience in delivering solutions proposals to C-suite and executive-level stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Able to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00AM to 6:00PM US Central time , but longer hours may be required
