Earthshot is a climate tech company focused on scaling carbon development efforts for reforestation and conservation, developing and financing nature-based carbon projects, and advancing automation in technology and science while ensuring regulatory compliance. Our goal is to make the easiest and most effective way to create and finance nature restoration and conservation carbon projects, and we need your help to do it.

  • Projects: Over 1 million hectares under conservation and reforestation, with $60M+ in projects financed in 2024.
  • Financial: Achieved 100%+ year-over-year growth and successfully closed a Series A funding round in 2024 to expand our team.
  • Product: Released LandOS V2, an innovative platform that automates many of the most time-consuming steps in developing carbon projects.

The Role: Sales Development Representative

You are a sales hustler in service of the planet. You are excited to do high-volume, high-quality, personalized outbound to project developers and corporations to sell carbon development services. You are willing to do whatever it takes to help projects get started, from doing cold outreach, attending conferences, writing proposals, setting up calls for other BD team members, and working on decks and sales materials. You want to grow within a world-class organization that aligns with your values.

Successful outcomes look like:

  • Consistently personalized outreach emails, LinkedIn messages, and warm networking through a list of 2500+ potential customers globally
  • Thorough understanding of the global carbon markets and the key influential accounts that are ideal fits for Earthshot’s products and services
  • Sourcing $2-5m+ of contract pipeline with prospective customers for members of the BD team.
  • Building your skill sets to eventually handle discovery calls with prospects, present Earthshot’s suite of offerings, and perform needs assessment with customers
  • Earn your way into a more senior BD role for carbon development services and contribute to another 100% YOY growth trajectory for Earthshot

Responsibilities

  • Own top of the funnel: lead generation, outbound sales, handoffs to BD team
  • Conduct online research of carbon-related blog posts and published articles from industry and customer base to identify and reach out to qualified prospects.
  • Conduct lead qualification activities, including client research, account and client organization prospecting, internet data mining, and follow-up on industry conference visits and marketing campaigns.
  • Open new opportunities for Earthshot through cold calling, LinkedIn, emailing qualified prospects, and follow-through on other creative methods for securing new customer accounts. We expect you to reach 40-50 contacts per week.
  • Set up a minimum of 5 phone or in-person meetings/week.
  • Coordinate all aspects of account management, including supporting BD team with coordination of client meetings as well as RFIs and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Maintain all sales activity in Hubspot.
  • Prepare and manage weekly pipeline reports, metrics, and prospects utilizing tools in Hubspot.
  • Attend conferences on an as-needed basis to represent Earthshot

Skills and qualities for the role

  • 3+ years of sales development and prospecting experience
  • Proven ability to form authentic, trusted relationships with customers and partners
  • Highly motivated and willing to focus on outreach to new customers.
  • You're willing to collaborate with the rest of the company; you’re not doing this alone. You’re doing it as part of a team.
  • High English proficiency is required; additional fluent/native languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese) are a bonus
  • A deep love for nature and a desire to help build a more integrated future for humanity within it

Salary Range: $45,000 - $115,000 depending on experience and location
