Ecocem is shaping the future of low carbon cement with ambitions to deliver a 50% cut in CO2 emissions from cement by 2030. We have a new opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Dublin team in our Ringsend Plant.

This role is responsible for overseeing mechanical installations, ensuring quality control, and managing the day-to-day mechanical operations on-site. You will work closely with the plant team to ensure the timely and successful completion of all mechanical work. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform troubleshooting to identify causes of malfunctions
  • Be capable of replacing mechanical seals / bearing / gearbox / valves / fluidisation system / hydraulic pump / pully belts
  • Experience in belt alignment
  • Experience of troubleshooting sensors / rotary screws / pneumatic system
  • Motor alignment
  • Fabrication experience: welding, grinding…

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Technical degree with 10 years’ experience in industrial maintenance
  • Background in maintenance, mechanics, electronics, electromechanics, or automation is required
  • Track record of adhering to and enforcing safety regulations, particularly on projects under their supervision
