What you will do:

Project Scheduler will play a pivotal role in ensuring project timelines are realistic, achievable, and adaptable to changing circumstances. This role will support the engineering scale-up of a novel green iron production process validated at the laboratory scale today to a pilot/commercial scale. This role will be to implement and oversee project schedules, collaborating with internal project managers, management and technical teams, and external EPCM providers.

The Project Scheduler will set tasks and monitor the execution of project timelines, provide early warnings, and ensure a ‘no surprises’ pathway through project execution and gating. The responsibilities will include:

  • Consulting with project managers and technical team leads to set up detailed task pathways.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system.
  • Coordinating project guidelines with internal departments and external stakeholders, including EPCMs, Services & Supply Chain providers.
  • Identify interdependencies between parts/owners of the Project Plan and ensure all parties are aware and proactively managing for an excellent outcome on budget and on time.
  • Monitor project timelines and deadlines.
  • Contribute to Critical path analysis.
  • Create Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS).
  • Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate Interventions in a highly proactive manner.
  • Evaluating project delivery performance, QA/QC, and preparing pro-active, high-frequency project progress reporting.
  • Recommending actions, pro-actively, to keep projects within budget and completed on-time.
  • Keeping all key Stakeholders informed of Project timelines and deadlines.
  • Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining excellent records.
  • The position incorporates risk management practices into engineering workflows, including coordinating to ensure that HAZOPs and operations and maintenance reviews into the design.
  • Potentially Support strategic analysis of the location and layout of the first commercial plant.
  • Consulting with other Electra teams and act as a subject matter expert within your field.

What we need you to bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or in a related field and 5 years of experience as a project scheduler in complex, large Industrial projects.
  • Certified as a PMI Scheduling Professional.
  • Advanced proficiency in Project Scheduling tools: MS Project, other
  • Advanced ability to monitor and keep Stakeholders informed of Project status, risks, timelines, and recommended changes.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and presenting analysis, valuation, and recommendation materials to senior level management and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team and individual settings and cross-functionally and supervise outside professionals.
  • Strong desire to support the broader team whenever and wherever needed to ensure responsibilities are shared in a lean organization.
  • Excellent organizational time-management and communications skills.
  • Strategic vision and strong analytical skills.
  • Highly skilled in risk identification and mitigation development.

What we want you to bring to the team:

  • Ideally, experience in zinc hydrometallurgy, Redox Flow Batteries, electrolyzers, and fuel cells.

Compensation:

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
