Internship Program Summary:
The 2025 Summer Internship Program is open to current undergraduate and graduate students pursuing majors in related fields.
The goal of the Program is to provide students with hands-on, industry experience while offering the opportunity to make valuable contributions at Team Electra.
In this you will:
- Assist with designing, assembling, and maintaining Electra's test systems
- Identify and integrate instrumentation for process monitoring and data acquisition
- Assist with integrating new systems and subsystems to advance Electra’s manufacturing and testing capabilities
- Assist with performing and writing procedures for routine troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of Electra’s test platforms
- Ensure safe operation of all test platforms and help develop safe testing procedures
- Assist with data acquisition and data management from test equipment to enable maximum learning from every test
Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related technical degree
- Ability to interpret design documents such as P&ID, electrical schematics, and mechanical designs and translate them into real life systems
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment (wrenches, saws, drills, etc.)
- Ability to work onsite in the office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with electrical or mechanical systems
- Familiarity with coding languages (Python, C++, SQL, etc.)
- Experience with programming embedded systems on Arduino IDE or similar
- Knowledge of electrochemical cell components and fundamental

Compensation:
- The pay rate for this position is $29.00 per hour for undergraduate students and $32.00 per hour for graduate students.
Interns are responsible for finding and paying for their housing solutions for the summer. Electra will provide suggestions for housing and will assist with connecting you with other interns after an accepted offer.
