Role:
As the Director of Finance and Operations, you will oversee all admin, human resources, legal, accounting and finance team functions at Electric Era. You will own the development of all supporting teams, infrastructure, systems, and processes required to run the operations of our rapidly scaling startup. You will work alongside peers in supply chain, revenue, implementation, software, production and engineering teams on a daily basis building highly functional interfaces that allow the company to scale quickly. Your team will oversee all financial operations including accounting, financial forecasting and planning, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and end of year tax filings. You will work closely with Electric Era's legal team, third party accounting firms, vendors, customers, executive leadership and investors as part of your daily routine.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of all Electric Era financial and accounting operations including financial reporting, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
- Work with internal or external software teams to develop scalable and automated software accounting systems that work for high volume hardware manufacturing and supply chains. Work to incorporate automation into all financial administration tasks including revenue reconciliation, vendor payment and customer invoicing
- Oversee the development of all human resource, finance and administration supporting team infrastructure, systems, and processes
- Participate in negotiations with external parties to ensure optimal contracts that comply with corporate objectives
- Interface with customers to manage account receivable functions in order to ensure timely payments.
- Interface with Electric Era software and logistics teams to ensure revenue toll gated supply chain operations are streamlined
- Closely collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, finance, legal, supply chain, and implementation to execute on key business development and partnership opportunities
Qualifications and preferred experiences:
- At least 6+ years of finance and accounting experience working within early stage companies
- At least 6+ years of financial reporting, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), financial analysis, and financial forecasting
- At least 2+ years of working alongside or overseeing HR teams
- At least 4+ years of working alongside revenue teams
- CPA certification
- Track record of success working effectively and independently across functions to deliver against deadlines
- Demonstrated ability in using data to help make decisions and influence stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills that result in practical and effective solutions, scale mindset (setting short to medium-term direction) and focus on impact
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to be flexible in a fast paced environment with limited direction, balance competing priorities, and managing several time-sensitive projects at once
