About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our SupportHub team. SupportHub works with Engineering, internal stakeholders, and clients to:
- Identify root causes of technical issues
- Respond to and manage production issues
- Configure programs and data flows between EnergyHub and our OEM or Utility partners
- Generate insight from our data warehouse to answer questions or give the team insight into high-value opportunities
- Identify and implement technical solutions to correct or mitigate known issues
EnergyHub is a growing organization and SupportHub is a new and growing team. After a successful first year, the team is adding Support Engineers and transitioning to a dedicated Engineering Manager. You will have an outsized impact on defining this role and the team’s role within the company.

Main Responsibilities: What you’ll do
- Provide strategic oversight, direction and execution for new team initiatives
- Guide team with clear direction, ensuring they are given ample resources
- Partner with teams across the organization including Product, Partner Solutions, Client Success and Program Management to define the team’s mission, vision and roadmap
- Participate in solution development and ensure team delivers high quality work on time, in scope, and in a scalable manner
- Thrive on building your team’s skills through coaching, mentoring and training opportunities
- Continuously raise the bar for your team through organizational evolution, process improvement efforts and leveling your team’s technical prowess
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience: What you need
- Experience managing tier 3 support or software development teams
- Core technical knowledge and experience with some of the tools and technologies we use including Java, Python, AWS, MongoDB and PostGres
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to data-driven approaches to management and prioritization
- Belief in continuous improvement
- Desire to build your team’s skills through coaching, mentoring and training opportunities
Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with utilities and/or our many device partners

The salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
