Join eSmart Systems as a Data Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the datasets that power our AI models. Your primary responsibility will be extracting, processing, and preparing high-quality datasets, ensuring they are optimized for training our AI models in component detection, defect detection, and advanced analysis of inspection data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists, annotation specialists, and inspectors to understand the requirements for defect and component detection.
  • Extract, process, and select images from available data sources for robust training and test datasets. Maintain diverse datasets from various customers to enhance AI model applicability and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with inspectors and domain experts to gain a deep understanding of defect definitions and industry standards, ensuring datasets are accurately annotated and categorized.
  • Design and implement data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing rigorous testing and validation procedures.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in data engineering and AI to continually improve our data handling processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in data extraction, data processing, and dataset construction.
  • Used to working with data in Python
  • Familiarity with deep learning concepts and experience working with large-scale datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in image processing or working with visual data is highly desirable.
