ESS is looking for a motivated, hard-working System Integration Technicians to join our team. This person is responsible for constructing and integrating plumbing, electrical, and sub- assemblies of large battery systems. The ideal candidate is someone who adaptable and understands the culture, the rigor, and the challenges of a start-up environment.

What you’ll do at ESS.

  • Construct, assemble, and leak check PVC plumbing assemblies.
  • Construct and install electrical conduit and junction boxes.
  • Connection of cables to other electrical assemblies per schematics.
  • Use hand or powered tools for the construction and assembly of PVC plumbing and electrical parts.
  • Operate drill press, miter saw, grinders, table saw etc.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment per pre-defined procedures to evaluate performance of assemblies and record results.
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to improve system assembly process and quality.
  • Perform in-process quality control inspections per pre-defined procedures to ensure the quality of the work performed and the functionality of the components and/or modules.
  • Maintain clean working environment.

What you bring to the table.

Minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to follow job required Standards and Safety Protocols, per pre-defined processes.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare and terminate cables.
  • Familiar with data collection and entry.
  • Ability to take and follow detailed notes.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a small, dynamic team.
  • Ability to fluently read and write English, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protection Equipment according to OSHA rules and regulations.

We’d love to see:

  • MS Excel skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with dynamic daily priorities.
  • Experience in new-product introduction and scale to manufacturing.
