Investment Strategy Associate

What you’ll do:
As an Investment Strategy Associate, you will play a critical role in developing and executing customized investment strategies for our clients, with a focus on passive, public multi-asset and equity portfolios.
You will collaborate cross-functionally to innovate and enhance our investment processes, ensuring that they reflect both financial and impact considerations of our clients. You will also work with various internal teams to review and update portfolio solutions.
More specifically you will:
- Design portfolio constructions and product investment solution for customized, passive, public equity portfolios
- Utilize quantitative risk models and optimization techniques to develop equity portfolios, ensuring they align with client objectives and risk tolerance
- Conduct in-depth investment research and analysis, including risk management, exposure assessment, sensitivity analysis, and the development of multi-factor models.
- Collaborate with product team to build out new products and multi-asset investment proposals
- Partner with Relationship Management and Business Development teams to create and implement portfolio solutions for our clients
- Investment research and analysis including risk management, investment exposures, sensitivities, client specific customizations and tax overlays
- Work closely with our technology and sustainability teams to discover and execute on opportunities for innovation and automation throughout the portfolio construction, management and client engagement/reporting processes
- Prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations, using data visualization to communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Regularly document processes, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and provide training to ensure best practices and continuous improvement across the organization

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2 - 5 years of experience in asset management/portfolio management, ideally with a background in quantitative investment strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of multi-factor risk models
- Background in and/or understanding of tax-managed portfolio management is strongly preferred
- Experience creating and managing multi-asset portfolios (including fixed income and privates) is preferred
- Background in sustainable investing is preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, Python, R, or SQL, with experience in portfolio optimization and performance attribution.

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation at Ethic is a combination of base salary, equity (stock options) in the company, and benefits.
The base salary for this role will range from $110,000-$140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
