Description
The Communications Coordinator will support content creation, social media management, and project coordination to enhance brand engagement and communication effectiveness. They will conduct research, track metrics, and prepare reports to inform strategy and measure the success of communication initiatives. This role will report to the Communications Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Content creation & editing: assist in creating, editing, and proofreading internal and external communications including blogs, press releases, social media content, and website updates.
- Social media support: help manage social media channels by creating content, scheduling posts, and responding to interactions to enhance engagement and reach.
- Project coordination: support project planning, including coordinating timelines, organizing meetings, and preparing status updates for communication campaigns and events.
- Stakeholder engagement: assist with employee and stakeholder communication initiatives by preparing materials, presentations, and FAQs that support ongoing communication efforts.
- Data collection & reporting: track and analyze engagement metrics across digital platforms, preparing regular reports that measure performance and highlight areas for improvement.
- Research & analysis: conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and communication best practices to inform content strategy and measure effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
- 0-4 years of work experience in communications, marketing, or related field
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Basic knowledge of communication platforms and digital marketing (e.g., social media, email marketing)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with design and analytics tools (e.g., Canva, Google Analytics, SharePoint)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or work experience in communications, marketing, or related field
- Basic understanding of SEO, content strategy, and data-driven reporting
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Monday.com)
Location
Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX with growing offices in Oakland, CA, Golden, CO, Reno, NV, and Salt Lake City, UT. This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at Fervo’s Houston office will be required. Some travel is required for this position.
