Position Overview
The Solar Advisor I for Axia Solar Corp. is responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability by guiding US homeowners through the process of purchasing Solar PV Systems and Electricity Storage Solutions. The ideal candidate either has a strong history of top-level solar sales performance, or a driving ambition to enter the renewable energy sales industry with a premier solar provider. Advisors will reach out to prospective customers and hand raisers, reinforce their interests by providing knowledge, expertise, and recommendation for solar panel and battery storage solutions, and finally assist customers with scheduling their formal consultation with a Solar Advisor II. This position will provide an entry to employment with America’s market leader in solar panels installed with prominent opportunities for upward mobility and career growth. Solar Advisor I reports to the Inside Sales Manager for the Axia Solar division of Qcells. This position can be remote, or can be located in our Irvine, CA headquarters. If remote, infrequent visits to the headquarters office will be required - this position will require approximately 10% travel.


  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets in selected markets.
  • Engage solar leads, qualify them as viable solar customers, set proper expectations and guide them through the pre-consult process.
  • Effectively manage and follow up on a pipeline of inbound leads via direct calling, SMS, and email communications to schedule them for consultations.
  • Build rapport and trust with customers that will facilitate higher sales closing rates.
  • Educate homeowners on the various benefits of going solar.
  • Accurately field consumer questions regarding the solar industry, incentives, programs and products.
  • Engage warm transfer leads from lead partners and conduct solar sales consultations in select situations where required
  • Attend sales meetings and continued trainings to exponentially improve performance.

Required Qualifications

  • College degree (Associates or Bachelors).
  • 1-2 years of sales experience (Saas software, tech, or other consultative solutions), experience in residential solar solution sales preferred.
  • Strong professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to connect with people in a virtual setting.
  • Desire to grow and take on more responsibility within a fast-paced working environment.
  • A competitive drive and ability to exceed goals.
  • Must be a strong leader, creative, and possess strategic planning skills.
