We combine business and science to solve the pain points of developing a decarbonization project. We are building a global remote team of high performers across science, business, and technology, and are looking for a candidate who has experience working on biochar project development.

The Role

The Carbon Project Customer Success Lead will report to the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with the Grain Carbon Project Development Expert and the team of Customer Success Project Partners to support activities focused on project origination and customer success. We are looking for a candidate that has experience with designing, building and operating biochar carbon projects.

Responsibilities

  • Structure the customer success journey to maximize positive outcomes for customers and minimize the risks associated with project execution.
  • Support customers through their use of the Grain Platform in navigating and troubleshooting any carbon project questions and challenges they may have.​
  • Provide technical insights (both project development and technology-type specific knowledge) to support projects in overcoming deployment and operational challenges with executing carbon removal projects.
  • Champion the voice of the customer during product roadmap development and feature prioritization.
  • Support design of a project origination tool that ensures optimization of the project design and development approach.

Experience

  • Recently worked on developing biochar carbon removal projects.
  • Experience working in roles with a strong people focus in the areas of customer support, customer success or leading a cross functional team without direct reporting lines.
  • Experience sourcing new carbon project opportunities or organic waste management opportunities.​
  • Has a wide network of project owners, project developers, standards and other key voluntary carbon market (VCM) stakeholders.​

Desired but not required:

  • University degree in engineering, carbon science or related field​
  • Experience engaging with carbon credit investors and/or buyers
  • Expertise in leading carbon projects, biogas, or renewable energy projects, encompassing project origination and other project development activities.

Job Type: Full-time remote

Salary: Base salary per year + equities
