H2SITE is a company that believes in European reindustrialization, created after 15 years of R&D with top European research entities to develop a breakthrough technology.

We have built a membrane factory that is unique in the world, where we manufacture our units that provide solutions for the hydrogen transport problem.

For our development we rely on the local industrial ecosystem and top-level international investors.

We have developed a technology of membrane reactors for the separation and production of hydrogen in situ from different feedstocks, such as ammonia, methanol, formic acid, syngas from waste…

The Opportunity:

As a Product Manager, you’ll get to:

The Product Manager will assist the Head of Product in driving profitable growth for H2Site´s portfolio through the effective management of existing and proposed new products to support the strategic and operational objectives of the business. This will involve the creation, implementation and monitoring of product strategies and plans in order to achieve sales and profit targets.

The main duties of the Product Manager are to lead product management in 2 key areas of the business, namely, new product development (NPD), management of existing product ranges and procedures (Product Management), and support to the rest of the company to drive profitable sales.

New Product Development

  • The Product Manager will be, or shall become, totally familiar with the H2Site technology, the internal processes, and the existing portfolio:
  • Work closely and develop relationships with all departments to drive and manage all aspects of New Product Development.
  • Deep understanding of the hydrogen market, including the ammonia, deblending sectors etc.
  • Understand all the aspects of the H2Site technology and develop a critical thinking to unlock underdeveloped areas.
  • Know and understand the competitors and how they relate to H2Site.
  • Support the Head of Product in developing the growth strategy of the products.
  • Work closely with the rest of the department to create standard products that answer to the necessities of the market, while optimizing the capacities of the technology.
  • Develop list of contents to create brochures that answers the customer questions and support the business development department to be more effective and accurate.
  • Assist industry events when required to gain knowledge of the market and support the Business Development initiatives.
  • Understand the internal ERP system to use it adequately.
  • Help defining Business Model for the new products.

Product Management

  • The Product Manager will be responsible for managing existing product range strategies and plans to deliver planned market share/volume/margin expectations and will be expected to:
  • Identify areas of improvement in the existing portfolio, propose them to the Head of Product and plan the activities required for the implementation.
  • Maintain the business process up to date to ensure keeping the relevance of the actions and efficiency for the whole company.
  • Monitor and analyse product range performance against sales and profit targets to identify variances and take quick corrective action.
  • Understand market drivers, unique selling points (USP’s), positioning and differentiation
  • To monitor market, competitor and industry trends and implement actions to take account of market opportunities or threats.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategy and tactics to maximize GP%.
  • Undertake periodic product lifecycle and portfolio analysis as part of the product management process.
  • Develop and implement product strategies to grow market share and/or margin to meet business objectives.

Other

  • To assist in the preparation of annual Strategic and Operating Plans.
  • To provide training and education of personnel in all details of the relevant product range, including travel to foreign countries.
  • Drive their own improvement and special projects delivering tangible results in a timely manner.

What you’ll need to succeed:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technical and/or business management subject.
  • Extensive experience in the energy market (Hydrogen experience is desirable) with proven experience in Product Management.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills (English and Spanish).
  • Excellent presentation skills (English and Spanish).
  • Innovative.
  • Team working and interpersonal skills.
  • Very good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The successful candidate will need to be able to work on their own initiative, communicate well with other departments, and be diligent in following and making sure others follow the stablished processes.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Analytical Thinking, Business Acumen, Decision making skills, Facilitation, Flexibility, Numerical Accuracy, Performance Focus, Presentation Skills, Responsibility Acceptance, Technical Learning, Experience with project management and control of small installation / maintenance teams.
  • Available for travel for startup campaigns in Europe.
