You’ll be leading a very talented team marketing one of the most innovative, award-winning technologies in New Zealand to this global market. Your team will unlock this expansion through building awareness and inspiration, and through establishing a reliable growth engine. This is a hands-on, exciting leadership role.

Lead the Marketing function to deliver revenue growth, globally.

  • Develop our brand as a competitive advantage to being the global category leader. Be a custodian of our brand, strengthening our positioning in the market.
  • Balance short-term growth with long-term strategic vision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Own and communicate the marketing strategy and execution. Advocate for marketing priorities across Halter.
  • Drive the maturation of Halter's marketing systems and processes.

Team leadership and growth

  • Lead a high-performing team and foster an exceptional culture.

  • Navigate ambiguity to solve problems in a pragmatic way.
  • Retain, support and develop exceptional talent and grow capability in your team.
  • Recruit top talent and manage consistent performance standards throughout the team.
  • Champion and instil Halter’s values in the team.

Cross-functional leadership

  • Collaborate exceptionally well on complex, cross-functional priorities, building trust and rapport with other teams and leaders.
  • Report on Marketing performance, key metrics, campaign ROI and market insights.
  • Play a key role in major company priorities.

Who we’re looking for

  • Critical thinking - You have a strong track record of critical thinking to solve complex, ambiguous problems by diagnosing the root causes and delivering solutions, backed by data, in a fast-paced changing environment e.g. high-growth company, management consulting, investment banking, strategy & operations or similar.
  • Data-driven with commercial nous - You are analytical by nature. You have evidence of delivering impressive commercial results by taking a data-driven approach. You have examples of embedding a data-driven culture in previous teams you’ve worked in. You have strong commercial acumen.
  • Experimentation - You can continuously experiment and iterate based on data.
  • Leadership - You’ve delivered significant value as a leader. You embed a culture of high performance with your team. You have high emotional intelligence and self-awareness. You can coach and lift the potential of your team. You work collaboratively with a variety of people and you can adapt your style accordingly.
  • High dynamic range of thinking - You are just as effective crafting an exceptional marketing strategy as you are drilling deep into the details. You’re a hands-on leader - not afraid to get on the tools and help with execution.
  • Fast learner - Proven ability to rapidly learn about and become highly effective in a new domain.
  • Empathy - You build a deep understanding of customers and their jobs to be done.
  • Communicator and listener - You are an exceptional listener and communicator. You can communicate a compelling vision and strategy to your team and to the company.
