About Us

All across the world, from the azure pools of Turkey and Oman to the travertine terraces of Yellowstone, our planet quietly pulls carbon dioxide from the air and turns it to stone. For eons, Earth has relied on this process to balance its carbon cycle. What if it could be harnessed? What if we could do it faster, in larger quantities, and at a low enough cost to make it an effective tool in the fight against climate change?

At Heirloom, we are turning that into reality. We use the natural carbon capture properties of abundant minerals to pull CO2 from the air, and store it permanently underground. We come to work every day to slow climate change, and are united behind a single, common goal - to remove 1 billion tons of CO2 from the sky by 2035, and to not stop before we get there.

We bring together the precise recipe of science, technology, know-how, and strategy necessary to make low cost, high quality carbon removal a reality. If we’re successful, we will directly mitigate climate change, build a world we can proudly hand over to our children and grandchildren, and catalyze an industry that will rival the largest the world has ever seen. If you want to change the planet, come join us.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As temperatures continue to rise, individuals from marginalized communities will face the harshest impacts of climate change. We believe wholeheartedly that building a diverse company is critical to Heirloom’s success. To accomplish this, we’ve put recruiting, hiring and retaining individuals from underrepresented groups at the top of our priority list.

We encourage you to apply if you identify as Black, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, American Indian or Alaskan Native, Hispanic or Latino, LGBTQ+ – or with any other underrepresented group – even if you don’t tick all the boxes in the description below.

About the Role

We are looking for a Global Supply Manager with at least 8-10 years of progressive experience in global sourcing, specifically for complex capital equipment and large-scale industrial automation systems.

This is a high-impact opportunity to own the supply chain for a mission-critical part of our megaton Direct Air Capture (DAC) deployment, leading the supply chain for carbonation building. You will develop and execute global sourcing strategies, lead multi-million-dollar contract negotiations, and direct complex global logistics.

You must be a doer and a completer—someone who takes the initiative, operates independently in an ambiguous environment, and drives multi-functional projects through to completion. You are expected to figure things out on your own and be the decisive, technical link between Engineering and our global supply partners. In return, we offer a chance to be the foundational supply chain leader for a core technological asset in a rapidly scaling company.

You will be responsible for

End-to-end global sourcing and supply chain management for carbonation building for megaton site deployment: The carbonation building has air flow and CO2 capture infrastructure inclusive of racking systems, caddies, automation/controls, fans/blowers etc.

  • Own the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the carbonation scope, proactively leading value engineering and cost reduction initiatives

  • Develop and apply strategies, analytics, and supply chain methodologies to manage suppliers and adhere to cost, delivery, and quality targets

  • Ensure Heirloom is achieving Value For Money and strategically selecting supply partners to support Heirloom’s growth and scale plans

Global Sourcing & Negotiation: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies and lead high-value contract negotiations for all major carbonation building components (such as racking, automation/controls, caddies) to secure optimal pricing and terms.

  • Perform thorough evaluations of the supply market to make supplier selection recommendations

Proactive risk management and mitigation:

  • Direct complex global logistics, packaging, and freight planning, while identifying and actively mitigating critical supply chain risks (e.g., commodity volatility, lead times).

  • Gain an understanding of Heirloom’s process and full system to understand cost drivers and develop cost models to support forecasts and negotiations

  • Communicate with senior leadership internally and externally, and comfort to escalate when required

Cross Functional Alignment:

  • Act with urgency and take initiative to resolve issues when they do arise

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Technology, Project Management teams and suppliers to identify potential suppliers with the right qualifications to support Heirloom’s requirements

  • Act as the primary liaison between Engineering, Project Management, and suppliers to ensure supply chain activities align perfectly with the project master schedule and budget.

What you will bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8-10 years in global sourcing or procurement for complex capital equipment or large-scale industrial automation/material handling systems or industrializing supply chain for high-volume electro-mechanical systems

  • Demonstrated history of successfully leading multi-million-dollar contract negotiations and managing supplier bases across various international regions

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business related discipline or significant experience

  • Start Up and New Product Introduction/Product Launch experience

  • Demonstrable experience in establishing and enforcing Quality Assurance/Quality Control protocols for automated equipment installation

  • Logistics management experience a plus

  • Strong technical acumen, including the ability to interpret complex engineering specifications and Bill of Materials (BOMs)

  • Expert knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodologies

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills

Attributes/behaviors:

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment

  • A doer and completer mentality - instigate and drive projects through to their completion
