Hyperframe is a metal wall framing system that snaps together without tools, up to 10x faster than traditional construction. The system is powered by software that enables modeling, fabrication, and installation of metal framing with unparalleled precision.

The Job

Hyperframe seeks a meticulous, resourceful, and travel-loving Field Operations Engineer to prepare construction sites for Hyperframe’s snap-together wall framing product. In this role, you will be deployed to major buildings (mostly high-rise towers) under construction throughout North America. You will perform next-generation pre-construction services including laser scanning of as-built conditions and robotic printing of the floor plan layout of the building. You will also train construction crews on how to install Hyperframe’s snap-together metal wall framing.

Successful candidates have an engineer’s mind but are eager to escape the office. Each day, you will apply the world’s most advanced construction technologies to the world’s most inspiring new buildings. You will have a huge, direct impact on raising the speed and efficiency of the commercial construction industry.

Duties

  • Provide field services to commercial construction sites, including laser scanning (LIDAR) and robotic layout printing.
  • Teach metal wall framing crews how to install Hyperframe's snap-together metal framing system.
  • Teach metal wall framing crews how to use Hyperframe's augmented reality iPhone app.
  • Up to 100% travel between major cities (like San Diego, Denver, Honolulu, Halifax, and other metro areas across North America)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in math, science, or engineering
  • Aptitude for reading construction drawings
  • Strong fundamental math ability
  • Experience with teaching/coaching others
  • Experience operating specialty equipment (e.g. metal/woodshop equipment, 3D printers, or similar)
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Proximity to major international airport
