About the Job

The IT Operations Specialist will contribute to the maintenance, development, and improvement of our infrastructure, both on-premises and cloud-based, as well as our IT systems and processes. You will help administer and secure our existing and evolving infrastructure.

We are looking for a sharp, highly motivated IT Operations Specialist to support our organization in manufacturing leading-edge electric motor technology. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-focused culture.

Your Responsibilities

Manage and support day-to-day IT systems operations.

Provide technical support to multiple teams.

Troubleshoot, address, and resolve IT-related problems, including hardware, software, and network issue diagnosis.

Administer operations and access to critical systems, including:

Microsoft Office 365

Domain Services

VMware Environment

Knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

Monitor and support IT systems’ performance, security, and availability.

Security-related tasks, including incident response, penetration testing, and compliance audits.

Document and assist employees in understanding security policies and best practices.

Support compliance-related activities, including certification and ongoing monitoring.

Implement and enforce information and data security policies and protocols.

Backup management, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity efforts.

Help select and coordinate with vendors and service providers.

Keep management informed of platform enhancement ideas, risks, and issues.

Skills & Requirements

A minimum of 5 years in IT roles, preferably with 3+ years of experience at companies with substantial compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2 Type 2, SOX, or similar).

• Hands-on experience in:

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Domain Services

VMware Solutions

Remote management tools (e.g., NinjaOne, Kaseya VSAX, or related).

• Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.

Strong plus: Direct experience with device management tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, etc.).

Strong plus: Certified in Microsoft Azure Administration Associate and CompTIA Security+.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Detail-oriented and patient.

Must be reliable and have good initiative.

Passionate and curious about technology.

Comfortable working cross-functionally with all parts of the organization and with distributed teams across multiple offices and time zones.
