Location: Sacramento, CA

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Legal and Commercial teams to support contract negotiations and finalization.
  • Review executed contracts to identify and extract key obligations, deadlines, deliverables, and payment milestones.
  • Manage calendars and tracking systems to ensure timely execution of all contractual actions and obligations.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts and related correspondence for audit and reference purposes.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on contract performance, key milestones, and project status to support schedule monitoring and decision-making.
  • Assist in managing amendments, claims, and change orders throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Foster strong relationships across internal teams and external partners to support effective contract execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of contract management processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 6–7 years of experience in contract or commercial management within EPC/EPCM, project finance, or long-term supply/offtake environments.
  • Experience in industrial, engineering, or manufacturing sectors strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in contract management software platforms and document tracking systems.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and project/task management tools.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex legal and commercial documentation.
  • Solid understanding of contract law, risk allocation, and legal terminology.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in managing contract obligations and formal notices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex information clearly.
  • Analytical and proactive problem solver who anticipates issues and implements timely solutions.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

The annual salary for the Contract Management Lead position is expected to be between $70,000 and $105,000+, depending on experience and qualifications.
