We are looking for a talented and driven Drone Systems Engineer to become part of our team. The successful candidate will possess expertise in drone integration, flight testing, and type certification, coupled with a solid foundation in engineering workflows and adherence to industry standards. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to conduct maintenance services, test, and be a part of operations team to enhance unmanned aerial systems (UAS) while fostering innovation in UAV technology.

What you’ll do[4]

Lead line-stringing construction projects to ensure the agreed scope is delivered within budget, quality and customer expectations.

Field / Mobilized / Project Operations

  • Assist the Fleet Manager activities and make sure the Air Ops equipments are kept to meet the global standards kept by Infravision.
  • Operate UAS in active construction environments when required, ensuring safe flight operations and mission success is achieved
  • Upgrade and integrate drone systems, ensuring optimal functionality of sensors, controllers, and communication modules as per the required maintenance raised by the operations team.
  • Conduct flight testing to evaluate performance, stability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work in remote environments, interstate and internationally.
  • Operate and maintain Infravision proprietary construction equipment machinery and field robotics including drone payloads, winches, puller / tensioners.
  • Partake in daily site meetings, noting instructions from site management, crew leaders and others regarding planned tasks.
  • Plan and prepare for upcoming work, assuming responsibility for assigned equipment.
  • Actively participate in hazard identification, reporting and mitigation in the workplace.
  • Demonstrate initiative by seeking additional work if tasks are completed.
  • Analyze telemetry data and flight logs to identify and resolve performance issues.

Office Based Operations

  • Assist the Fleet Manager activities and make sure the Air Ops equipments are kept to meet the global standards kept by Infravision.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including manuals, standard operating procedures, and compliance reports as per the standards.
  • Upgrade and integrate drone systems, ensuring optimal functionality of sensors, controllers, and communication modules as per the required maintenance raised by the operations team.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards by conducting risk assessments and implementing quality assurance processes.
  • Partake in daily site meetings, noting instructions from site management, crew leaders and others regarding planned tasks.
  • Plan and prepare for upcoming work, assuming responsibility for assigned equipment.
  • Actively participate in hazard identification, reporting and mitigation in the workplace.
  • Conduct planning and preparation for upcoming projects and work activities.
  • Review and collaborate on the development of Infravision operational documentation.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field with 2 years of experience.

Experience in Drone engineering, including system integration, flight testing.

Experience in the type certification process and guidelines provided by the DGCA.

Hands-on experience with Pixhawk, Ardupilot, Mission planner, QGC and UAV communication protocols.

Proficiency in systems engineering, validation & verification (V&V), risk assessment, and standards compliance.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and concise information exchange among teams.
