Company Overview

Kindred is a rapidly growing, venture backed start-up focused on unlocking the conversion of gasoline vehicles to electric using our technology and scale.

We are marketing folks, technicians, software developers, mechanical engineers, designers, painters, and car lovers. We love a whiff of gasoline and we geek out about the torque provided by electric motors. Above all we believe the world is a better place with vintage cars out on the road.

We strive to create a meaningful workplace at Kindred, which means something different for each of our team members. For some, it’s getting these immortal vehicles on the road. For others it’s the portion of revenue we donate to our local community for every vehicle sold. For many at Kindred, it’s the inclusive work environment we’ve created.

Our cars create joyful experiences for our customers and immense pride for our team. If you can match our passion, values, and work ethic, we want you!

This role is highly field-oriented and ideal for a relationship-driven sales leader who thrives in live environments, loves building partnerships, and is energized by turning local experiences into measurable sales results.

You will be the face of Kindred in the region—bringing our vehicles directly to potential customers through events, partnerships, pop-ups, and immersive experiences—while working closely with our national marketing and events team to scale what works.

The key to success in this role will be leveraging your outstanding interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for what Kindred is doing and an innate ability to create positive, long-lasting relationships with partners throughout northern California. These partnerships must yield opportunities to expose Kindred vehicles to new customers and generate future sales.

  • Identify, secure, and activate local events where Kindred vehicles can be displayed to generate leads and close new sales
  • Establish and manage event and commercial partnerships with local clubs, golf courses, hotels, and businesses to access aligned customer communities
  • Collaborate with the national marketing and events team to develop assets and programming for a scalable pop-up / mobile event kit that can integrate seamlessly into existing local events
  • Personally support and staff local marketing and sales opportunities, including vehicle displays, test drives, and experiential activations
  • Develop and operate an event and experience program that brings local prospects and partners to Kindred HQ on a regular basis
  • Track leads, conversion, and performance metrics from events and partnerships, continuously refining the approach to maximize ROI
  • Serve as a regional brand ambassador, delivering a premium, relationship-focused customer experience at every touchpoint

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in direct sales, field sales or field event and activation management in premium automotive or luxury retail environments
  • Proven track record driving experiential marketing, or event-driven customer acquisition in a startup environment
  • Strong ability to build and maintain local partnerships and community relationships
  • Comfort working independently in the field while collaborating cross-functionally with centralized teams
  • A hands-on mindset—you’re equally comfortable planning an event and showing up to run it
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to engage and influence in person
  • High energy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives at once
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Southern California and work evenings/weekends as needed for events
