We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Geologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in geosciences, practical industry experience, and a demonstrated ability to work across a wide range of geological disciplines. You will contribute to technical research projects involving subsurface exploration and resource evaluation, and play a key role in intellectual property development within subsurface earth sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and drive geologic research and subsurface exploration activities across diverse geologic settings, including igneous and metamorphic terrains.
- Conduct geospatial data analysis and produce geological maps using ArcGIS or equivalent GIS software.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, papers, presentations, and patent applications.
- Deliver presentations and briefings to internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Support the development and evaluation of new technologies and methodologies, particularly related to geological hydrogen and subsurface exploration.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams involving geochemists, geophysicists, stratigraphers, engineers, and data scientists.
- Compile, interpret, and integrate multiple types of data across geochemical, geophysical, and geological disciplines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Geosciences, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience (e.g., hydrogeology, geothermal, oil & gas, or mining industry preferred).
- Proficiency in GIS platforms (ArcGIS Pro or equivalent) and geologic modeling software.
- Demonstrated technical writing skills and experience presenting complex geoscience concepts.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience interpreting and integrating multivariable data sets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, or Earth Sciences is a plus.
- Experience in geologic or geochemical sampling or modeling of subsurface energy systems (e.g., petroleum systems modeling).
- Familiarity with IP and technology development processes (e.g., prior experience with patent applications) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis software.
