Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced leader within Maintenance to join our established and dedicated team.

Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for managing and directing the maintenance activities of mechanical maintenance teams within the relevant production area to meet production targets.

You will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating the activities of the maintenance personnel to minimise plant disruptions due to mechanical failures
  • Schedule maintenance work to minimise impact on production
  • Oversee all area ongoing maintenance and ensure all planned maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and in the shortest time frame
  • Direct the supervisors of maintenance fitters working within the area of responsibility
  • Direct the supervisors of sub-contractors working within the area of responsibility
  • Ensure suitability and availability of equipment spares
  • Liaise closely with area maintenance planners and schedulers to minimise disruptions
  • Monitor and manage approved maintenance operating budgets

About You


This role would suit an experienced maintenance leader that has worked in a refinery environment or HPAL plant previously.

You will also have:
  • Extensive experience within a complex metallurgical plant environment in a maintenance role
  • Experience with maintenance management systems
  • Experience in managing costs and budgeting
  • Demonstrated success as an effective leader
  • An Australian Trade Qualification
  • A Current manual Drivers Licence
