Position Overview

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and repairs of pick-ups and Toyota Landcruisers
  • Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability
  • Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures and systems
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment
  • Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems
  • As priorities permit and on the aptitude of the tradesperson, exposure will be given to a range of mining equipment providing an opportunity to develop skills in support of HD Mechanic licensing
  • This is a Surface position at the Kidd Mine Site

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a team player who possesses:

  • Certificate of Qualification in Automotive (Class A)
  • Preference to applicants with a minimum of 3 years experience in Automotive
  • A motivated and dynamic approach to getting tasks complete and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
  • Strong ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering and management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement
  • Familiarity/Experience with all makes of pick-up trucks would be considered an asset

We offer a competitive wage and bonus plan complemented by a comprehensive range of benefits.
Wage will vary depending on experience, education and certification. $40.32-$45.66 hourly.
