Job Description
Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective production and safety leadership to the production team.
About the Role
Provide strong and effective leadership and coaching to a team of supervisors to influence and focus the direction of production employees.
Oversee, plan and implement tasks to optimise production results in the areas of health, safety, environment and community.
Support operational and divisional budget in terms of managing resources effectively including monitoring and controlling costs
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of standards, procedures and processes.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and communicate risks associated with health, safety and environmental impacts.
Roster and Location
Monday to Friday dayshift roster
Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)
About You
Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams in an open cut environment.
Experience supporting and developing mining supervisors for the purpose of maximising mine productivity, cultural alignment and employee growth and development.
Hold a current Open Cut Examiners ticket
Ideally you will have or be working towards obtaining a Mining Engineering Managers’ certificate of competency.
High level of interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels across multiple departments as well as engaging and influencing key external stakeholders.
