Metricstream Solution Support Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MetricStream Solution Support Analyst to join the MetricStream platform team at Glencore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, triaging and managing the change requests and enhancement logs from across the teams, making technical changes to the platform based on business needs, executing quality assurance on the changes made to the platform and ensuring the smooth operation of the MetricStream platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations globally.

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the business teams to log and triage defects, change requests, enhancements, and integration requirements.

  • Conduct initial feasibility study along with the dedicated platform business analyst and prioritise tickets accordingly.

  • Provide timely and effective technical support for the MetricStream platform, addressing user inquiries and technical issues.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.

  • Collaborate with development and MetricStream external teams to identify, analyse, and resolve production issues.

  • Document and maintain support procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.

  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend solutions to prevent future occurrences.

  • Assist in system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities as required.

  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of the MetricStream platform.

  • Reporting: collect and ensure delivery of reporting capabilities in Power BI and platform.

  • Risk and quality assurance: Conduct regular system audits, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and implement quality controls.

  • Performance monitoring: Develop and track KPIs to measure platform response times.

Technical Experience:

  • Degree (e.g., BA, BSc) or professional certifications in computer science, Information technology, or a related field.

  • 7+ years’ experience delivering and managing MetricStream implementations in global organizations.

  • Demonstrated ability in production support, preferably with MetricStream or similar GRC applications.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written & ability to collaborate across departments and cultures

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of MetricStream features and technology (BAPI journeys, PL-SQL, JAVA and MetricStream reporting tools, Power BI etc.)

  • Mastery in Agile/Waterfall methodologies and tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Power BI.

  • Knowledge of data governance and the integration of Risk, Audit, and HSEC processes.

Our Ideal candidate:

  • A solutions-focused individual who can work with teams through complex challenges while maintaining clarity on priorities and outcomes.

  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of MetricStream applications.

  • Understanding of Audit, Risk and Compliance processes.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation tasks.

  • Awareness of natural resources sector compliance challenges and emerging GRC & ERM trends, is desired.
