Job Title: Corporate Affairs Graduate Associate

Summary

The Corporate Affairs Graduate Associate supports the Corporate Affairs function in delivering strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, government relations, and social performance initiatives across mining operations. This role offers structured, hands-on development for a recent graduate seeking exposure to the intersection of mining, public policy, reputation management, ESG, and community engagement within a complex, multinational environment.

The position provides rotational and project-based exposure to communications, regulatory monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability reporting, building foundational capability for a future career in Corporate Affairs, ESG, or Public Affairs.

Key Accountabilities

Communications & Reputation Support

  • Assist in drafting and editing internal communications, newsletters, announcements, and executive presentations.
  • Monitor media coverage, industry developments, and public sentiment relating to the mining sector and company operations in Peru.
  • Support development of corporate content for digital channels, website updates, and corporate publications.
  • Contribute to maintaining consistent brand messaging and communication standards across local platforms.

Government & Regulatory Engagement

  • Track relevant legislation, policy changes, and regulatory developments across mining, environmental, labour, and fiscal domains.
  • Prepare briefing notes, summaries, and background research for leadership and Corporate Affairs management.
  • Support coordination of meetings, documentation, and logistics for engagements with government bodies, regulators, and industry associations.

Stakeholder & Community Relations

  • Assist in mapping, tracking, and analysing key external stakeholders including communities, NGOs, academic institutions, and industry groups.
  • Support planning and execution of community engagement initiatives and social investment activities.
  • Collect, organise, and synthesise stakeholder feedback to inform internal decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.

ESG & Social Performance Support

  • Assist with data collection, validation, and reporting of ESG metrics and social performance indicators.
  • Support preparation of sustainability reports, disclosures, and internal dashboards aligned with company frameworks and standards.
  • Collaborate with ESG and Sustainability teams on initiatives that strengthen social licence and community outcomes.

Administrative & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate logistics for external events, stakeholder meetings, and site visits.
  • Maintain corporate affairs databases, stakeholder records, and document repositories.
  • Provide cross-functional project support to Communications, Legal, HR, Sustainability, and Operations teams as required.
