Purpose and Objective

The Growth General Manager is responsible for leading and managing all brownfield exploration activities within existing mining operations. This role ensures the identification, evaluation, and development of near-mine resources to extend the life of current assets and support long-term production targets. The position requires strong technical expertise, strategic planning, and leadership to deliver safe, cost-effective, and sustainable exploration programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in mining industry
• Experience acting as General Manager in mining asset for at least 5 years
• International exposure is a must
• Demonstrated oral and written English language proficiency.

• Strong knowledge of geological modeling, resource estimation, and mining operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategic Leadership:

-Develop and implement the brownfield exploration strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives

-Identify opportunities to maximize resource potential within existing mining districts

• Operational Management:

-Oversee geological mapping, drilling programs, and resource modeling

-Ensure timely and accurate reporting of exploration results and resource estimates

-Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for exploration projects

• Technical Excellence:

-Drive innovation in exploration techniques and technologies

-Antamina Technical’s committees’ participation

• Stakeholder Engagement:

-Communicate exploration progress and results to senior leadership and key stakeholders

-Support integration of exploration outcomes into long-term mine plans (LOA,RDP,Budget)

• Mining Property Management:

Oversee acquisition, maintenance, and compliance of mining concessions and property rights

• Integration of Land Access & Permitting:

Understand and incorporate land access requirements, permitting timelines, and community considerations into exploration plans.

• Regional Integrated Strategic Planning:

Coordinated planning of regional initiatives aimed at achieving the 1 million Cu tons target while ensuring Safe Reliable Production
