Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company whose registered office is at No. 4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi District, Manika Commune, City of Kolwezi. Its operating headquarters, the center of its main activities, is located about 42 km from the city of Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Main objectives of the position

Under the direct supervision of the Organizational Development Manager, the Superintendent of Organizational Effectiveness is responsible for improving organizational performance by improving the structures, processes, leadership capabilities, culture, and effectiveness of the workforce. This position supports safe, sustainable and efficient mining operations by driving change management, talent management and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business efficiency.

Minimum qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology or related field

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in operational, remote and multicultural environments including 5 years in organizational effectiveness, organizational development, HR transformation, learning and development, or performance improvement, preferably in the mining, industrial or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of mining operations, safety-critical environments, and workforce dynamics.

Required skills

  • Strong knowledge of organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and job clarity frameworks.
  • Proven ability in change management, employee engagement, and transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze organizational and performance data and translate insights into action.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence skills at the site and leadership level.
  • Good understanding of performance management systems and productivity improvement.
  • Demonstrated capacity in leadership development and capacity building programs.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure operational environments.
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving business efficiency and increasing employee engagement.
  • Implement strategies developed by the Manager.
  • Support value for money.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives (operational improvement, digitalization, reorganizations, expansions).
  • Apply structured change management methodologies.
  • Analyze internally displaced persons and develop response plans.
  • Support leaders and employees during transitions.
  • Collaborate with operations to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Align individual and team performance with business, safety, and ESG goals.
  • Support the Manager in the development of the capability framework and capability gap assessment.
  • Maintain succession plans and support implementation.
  • Prepare talent assessment sessions and organize development interventions
  • Maintain a high talent profile and track the progress and effectiveness of development activities.
  • Prepare employee satisfaction surveys and analyze the results to propose corrective action plans.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of people survey action plans and engage in a manner. Proactively managers and line manager to resolve issues related to the plan
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Propose and facilitate activities to raise awareness and acceptance.
  • Support behavioral safety and respectful work programs.
  • Integrate ESG, safety and environmental principles into organizational practices and leadership behaviors. Promote ethical leadership and responsible mining behaviour.
  • Monitor OE&D metrics related to engagement, capabilities, productivity, and change adoption.
  • Use data and diagnostics to guide interventions and decision-making.
  • Prepare analysis and reports for executive management.
  • Track Culture Metrics and Reporting
  • Comply with Glencore's environmental management requirements and procedures as well as MUMI SARL's environmental policy.
