In this role you will be responsible for:
- The management of the daily activities of the Occupational health centre in liaison with the Rhovan management to ensure that all aspects of occupational health management are met.
- Liaising with other healthcare providers or institutions i.e. Lancet, Hospitals, Government departments as well as management and supervisor teams at Rhovan
- The effective management to ensure that an occupational health service is rendered to the employees on a continuous basis to ensure healthy employees and minimise occupational illness and disease
- Oversee the management of the basic health care, injury management, wellness programme and rehabilitation.
- Assisting the occupational medical practitioner during the consultation and evaluation process ((e.g. scheduling of referrals for specialized medical attention; counselling and follow up with employees, etc.) in support of the wellbeing and treatment programme
- Ensuring legal compliance with regards to occupational health management and reporting to COIDA, management of chronic and communicable diseases like HIV/AIDS, TB, etc.
- Management of record keeping on all electronic and manual systems, scheduling of employees, reporting of deviations, investigation of non-compliances and corrective actions.
About you:
- Degree Occupational Health Nursing
- SANC Registration - Occupational Health Nursing
- SASOHN registration in Audiometry
- Dispensing license
- Computer literacy (QMED, COUPA and SAP)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as occupational health practitioner
- Certificate in Spirometry
- Medically fit
- Must be able to work overtime from time to time, if required.
- Be able to communicate in English
