Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Training Advisor. This role will see you become an integral part of team, living and working residentially with a working roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off - 9 hour shift

The Role
Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a motivated and qualified Training Advisor who will reporting to the Superintendent – Training, Mining. The successful candidate will provide a high level of training support to operations and support our frontline workers and management teams. You will have the desire to improve training, implement innovative tools and ideas and become an integral part of the wider team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Consulting with line leaders on training needs for their crews and accurately maintaining the departmental training plans
- Routinely generating and analysing training reports to identify training needs and improvements
- Providing advice on training management system requirements to operational areas as well as identifying improvement initiatives
- Be proactive in developing and reviewing training material mapped to national competency standards
- Forecasting and scheduling training requirements
- Assisting in incident investigations and audits as required
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
- Relevant training qualification (e.g. TAE40116 or equivalent) and associated experience
- Relevant operational experience
- Demonstrated passion for training and development of people
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, including intermediate proficiency in MS Office, and
- Strong planning, problem solving capabilities and able to manage multiple projects whilst achieving deadlines
- Australian Manual Drivers Licence
- Committed to safety and a strong communicator to build robust partnerships in the operations
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word and Excel
