Main objectives of the position

Under the direct supervision of the Export Operations Coordinator, the Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating lifting mobile equipment, particularly Forklifts, in strict compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency requirements.

Minimum qualification

• National Diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid certificate in heavy equipment operation.
• Category A, B, C, and D driver's license.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience as a forklift operator in the fields of logistics, supply chain, export or any related discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving the forklift safely.
• Take charge of the equipment before use.
• Report any breakdowns, anomalies or incidents to the supervisor.
• Achieve daily loading and unloading targets.
• Ensure that all checklists are properly completed and forwarded to the equipment controller or supervisor.
• Identify risk situations and correct them in collaboration with the relevant team.
• Participate in safety and environmental awareness sessions.
• Drive forklifts avoiding fuel/oil leaks and spills and follow refueling procedures.
• Handle and store hazardous materials in a manner that prevents contamination.
• Comply with Glencore’s environmental management requirements and procedures, as well as MUMI SARL’s environmental policy.
