Job Description
Are you a finance professional seeking an opportunity to lead and excel in a dynamic environment? We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Mine Accountant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the finance function, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, and leading a team of accountants.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Leading and coaching a team of accountants
Being a key lead for HVO’s finance function with a focus on driving a high-performing and cost-conscious culture
Collaborating with cross-functional departments to support the operational and technical aspects of the operation
Thinking fast on your feet and employing analytical skills to interrogate data and support strategic business decisions
Showcasing a high proficiency in SAP and Excel
Contributing to a supportive team culture that embraces change and process improvements
Supporting yearly Life of Mine (LOM) and Budget deliverables
Roster and Location:
Monday to Friday day shift roster
Based on site at HVO (1011 Lemington Road, 30kms West of Singleton)
About You:
A full member of one of the professional accounting bodies (CPA, CA).
A proactive team player who works effectively both independently and collaboratively to deliver results
Clear communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience in a large ERP system (SAP preferred). Xeras experience is highly desirable.
Highly motivated individual with ability to successfully drive change
