Job Description
Maintenance Planner – Long Term Planning
Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Planner, this is a key role within the Long-Term Planning (LTP) team responsible for driving asset strategy, cost discipline and production reliability across site.
This role is suited to a planner who can take asset data and site requirements and turn them into clear, executable plans that improve reliability and control costs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain short and long-term maintenance strategies for new and existing assets
Translate life-of-asset strategy into executable plans aligned with production targets
Drive equipment reliability, availability and cost efficiency through structured planning
Collaborate closely with Supervisors, Area Coordinators and Reliability teams to ensure plan integrity and execution discipline
Maintain high data integrity within SAP, including detailed and accurate work order development
Support budgeting, forecasting and cost control using Xeras
Contribute to capital planning, life-extension decisions and major shutdown scoping
Support continuous improvement of planning standards and compliance with the GCAA Asset Management Framework

Monday to Friday roster
Based on site at HVO
About You
Proven experience in maintenance planning within heavy industry (mining preferred)
Strong SAP capability and confidence in planning system governance
Experience using Xeras or similar budgeting/forecasting tools
Formal trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering
Solid understanding of FMECA, maintenance strategy development and cost drivers
Able to interpret engineering drawings, OEM manuals and technical standards
Commercially aware — understands the link between planning quality and site profitability
Highly organised, detail-driven and proactive
Strong communicator able to influence across operations, reliability and finance
