The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Officer - Labour Hire at George Fisher Mine. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all labour hire activities across site, ensuring accuracy, compliance and cost efficiency in support of business operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and integrity of George Fisher’s labour hire management processes while working in a collaborative and supportive team.

This role is offered with a lifestyle roster of 5-2, 4-3 and is based residentially.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining and managing a contractor database to ensure records are current and compliant
  • Raise purchase orders and coordinate the timely receipt and verification of timesheets and invoices
  • Reconcile labour hire costs, prepare end-of month financial reports and accruals and actively identify cost -saving opportunities
  • Implement and maintain checks and balances to ensure data accuracy and eliminate errors
The successful candidates will have:
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree (Business Administration, HR, Finance, or similar) is not mandatory but is highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build productive and professional relationships across internal teams and Suppliers
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound financial understanding and confident in working with data and reports
  • A high degree of motivation and initiative
  • The ability to problem solve and able to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Knowledge of the Coupa and SAP systems would be an advantage, however training will be provided
