In this role you will:
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Environmental Management System (EMS) processes, ensuring alignment with HSEC&HR standards
Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of HSEC&HR standards by translating requirements into practical processes, tools, and tracking mechanisms that enable consistent execution
Identify systemic gaps and recurring issues through data and performance reviews, and work with teams to implement sustainable solutions,
Influence and partner with asset teams to adopt practical processes that strengthen alignment, tracking, accountability, and environmental performance
Own QA/QC of environmental performance data across systems (e.g., Excel, GSD, SiteLine, Power BI), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity
Maintain and continuously improve environmental performance systems, databases, and dashboards
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with clear trend analysis and actionable insights to inform decisions
Lead and support environmental incident investigations, including root cause analysis (5-Why, ICAM progression)
Develop, track, and evaluate corrective actions and effectiveness of controls
Facilitate multidisciplinary problem-solving sessions to address compliance risks and performance gaps
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
Minimum five years’ experience in environmental performance or compliance, within a mining or industrial setting
Strong analytical capability, with advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI, including data management, validation, and visualization
Demonstrated ability to ensure data accuracy, identify trends, and translate data into clear, actionable insights
Experience supporting or leading incident investigations (e.g., 5-Why; ICAM training or willingness to obtain is an asset)
Solid understanding of federal and provincial environmental regulations and compliance requirements
Proven ability to simplify complex processes and implement practical, scalable solutions
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
