Manage cost and management accounting processes, including cost allocations, standard costing, variances and overhead recovery.
Execute monthly checks and reconciliations of financial records and lead the monthly cost closing process.
Prepare, analyse and present monthly cost reports and variance analysis to management.
Lead budgeting and forecasting activities and support departments in strategic and operational planning.
Oversee the plant-level accounts payable function, including vendor liaison and working with Shared Services Accounts Payable to resolve queries.
Supervise the time-and-attendance and payroll function at the plant.
Identify, review and implement improvements to controls and processes within the costing environment.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

About you:

Relevant NQF6 or higher qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/costing within mining or manufacturing.
Strong understanding and application of accounting principles.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Experience with time-attendance and payroll processes at plant level.
Proficient in SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, Hyperion and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
Good administration, communication and interpersonal skills.
Supervisory/people management experience.
Results-oriented, able to meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
Prior experience in a smelter or heavy manufacturing environment.
Advanced Excel or reporting tool skills (Power BI, etc.).
