About the Role
Liminal is experiencing significant growth in sales, customer engagement, and product deployments. We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to join our team.
As an experienced Technical Program Manager, you will play an instrumental role in scaling up our product from bench-top to high-volume manufacturing as you establish frameworks to guide technical staff through the product development process. You will help staff execute complex, highly collaborative engineering programs. You will work cross-functionally to ensure alignment across all team members and will be an advocate for workplace organization.

This role will report to the Director of Engineering Operations.
Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Manage complex, technical programs across multiple disciplines (e.g., hardware, controls, software, data science).
- Set the pace of product development using traditional project management techniques (Gantt charts, resource management, etc.).
- Facilitate internal communication and integration amongst all teams to ensure relevant parties are aligned on key deliverables and decisions
- Develop, implement, and optimize engineering and manufacturing processes to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
- Establish relevant processes and infrastructure (e.g., change management process, part numbers database, revision control, documentation management, etc.).
- Build a culture of continuous process improvement across all levels and departments within the organization.
- Lead the implementation of relevant PLM and/or ERP systems across the organization
- Be a champion for documentation and workplace organization.
- Develop best practices for project management.
- Coordinate the logistics of deployments to our customer sites.

Minimum Requirements

- Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, especially in an R&D setting.
- Experience implementing operational processes.
- A naturally inquisitive teammate who forms relationships quickly.
- Willing to work across disciplines and engage all levels of the organization.
- Experience with PLM and/or ERP software.
- Expert with project management software (e.g., JIRA, Wrike, etc.).
- Experience leading multiple programs in parallel and assessing priorities.
- Experience in an engineering role in hardware or equipment manufacturing.
- 8+ years of technical program management experience in product development.
Nice to haves
- Experience managing engineering programs for hardware and software products.
- Experience ramping up high-volume manufacturing lines.
- Experience managing Contract Manufacturers.
- Experience with battery manufacturing.
