About Us

Mangrove is building a digital platform to support Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) operations across the broad and fast-evolving landscape of carbon removal and clean fuel pathways. We’re looking for a product-minded full-stack developer to help us scale that mission by enhancing implementation efficiency and delivering powerful self-serve features that directly impact both internal teams and external customers.

Our Values

We are Tenacious
We are relentlessly focused on solving important problems for our customers that will help their carbon projects be more successful in improving the health of our climate.
We are Precise
Trust is paramount. At Mangrove we operate with surgical precision because we know that the success of our customers' carbon projects relies on their unwavering trust in our data and our platform’s meticulous ability to track CO2 and its respective emissions.
We are Thoughtful
We believe that the right solution requires a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and challenges. This understanding is manifested in every design and every solution that we build.

About the Role

As a software developer at Mangrove you’ll work across the stack, building front-end components, writing Python data transformations and developing Ruby-on-Rails services. Your goal will be to make MRV operations faster, more transparent, and more intuitive for every carbon removal and clean fuels project we support.

You will:

Build user-facing features that make account and pilot onboarding faster, smoother, and more self-serve.
Work across domains: modelling, data ingestion pipelines, transformation logic, and internal tools.
Translate complex vertical needs into scalable platform modules tailored to specific project types.
Accelerate the team by introducing LLM-powered automation, publishing code notebooks, and creating implementation cookbooks.
Establish a clear implementation roadmap, automating the repetitive parts of our deployment work.
Improve and debug existing systems, ensuring quality, precision, and thoughtful handling of edge cases.
Support the team by providing timely, constructive code reviews and collaborating across product and engineering.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll thrive here if you:
Can independently ship full-stack features (from DB to UI) with minimal hand-holding.
Have a sharp product intuition and work to deeply understand our users’ needs.
Regularly identify and implement tools that boost your output.
Choose the simplest working solution, and can explain your tradeoffs clearly.
Communicate clearly, bringing confidence and momentum to the team.
Deep attention to detail in all of the work you produce.

What We’re Looking For

Senior-level experience with React and Ruby on Rails (or similar MVC backend frameworks).
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, making sound technical and product decisions.
A pragmatic mindset: you prefer clarity and maintainability over cleverness.
Strong alignment with Mangrove’s values: tenacity, precision, and thoughtfulness.
A collaborative spirit: you uplift teammates, share your knowledge, and welcome feedback.

Why Join Mangrove

We’re a lean, mission-driven team working on one of the most urgent problems of our time. You’ll be joining early enough to shape not just the codebase, but the culture and trajectory of the company.
We offer:
Competitive compensation and equity
Flexible, remote-first culture
Direct impact on climate innovation
A thoughtful, fast-moving, and supportive team
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. We’re growing and are excited to have teammates to join us who are the best at what they do. We’re passionate about building a diverse team that will make a meaningful impact on the planet.
