About Us

We are on a mission to accelerate the deployment of climate solutions by precisely quantifying decarbonization. We do this by developing the fabric that connects technology, policy and markets to every project developer.

Our Values

We are Tenacious
We are relentlessly focused on solving important problems for our customers that will help their carbon projects be more successful in improving the health of our climate.
We are Precise
Trust is paramount. At Mangrove we operate with surgical precision because we know that the success of our customers' carbon projects relies on their unwavering trust in our data and our platform’s meticulous ability to track CO2 and its respective emissions.
We are Thoughtful
We believe that the right solution requires a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and challenges. This understanding is manifested in every design and every solution that we build.

About the Role

As an Implementation Engineer at Mangrove, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing new customers online across diverse carbon value streams—from voluntary markets to emerging compliance regimes, and across a wide range of fuels and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) pathways. You’ll be the technical front line: embedding deeply with customers, mapping their project data and accounting needs, configuring Mangrove’s platform for their unique systems, and ensuring rapid, successful deployment.
This is a hands-on, field-oriented role at the intersection of decarbonization, data, engineering and product. You’ll act as both a systems integrator and a trusted technical advisor, helping customers operationalize new revenue streams across complex, real-world pathways.

Responsibilities

Lead Onboarding & Deployment: Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new customers—spanning discovery, data integration, platform configuration, and go-live.
Adapt implementation frameworks across voluntary and compliance markets, and across diverse project types (fuels, CDR, and beyond).
Deep Technical Integration: Design and execute technical implementations that connect customer systems, sensors, and data pipelines into Mangrove’s platform—leveraging APIs, databases, and workflow automation.
Pathway Expertise: Develop and apply deep understanding of carbon accounting nuances across multiple fuels and CDR pathways to tailor onboarding solutions that meet pathway-specific data and reporting requirements.
Trusted Technical Advisor: Serve as the bridge between customer, product, and engineering—educating customers on best practices in MRV, data management, and market reporting while advocating for their needs internally.
Forward Deployed Execution: Operate as an extension of the product and engineering teams in the field—rapidly prototyping, troubleshooting, and refining platform configurations in live customer environments.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers and engineers to influence the product roadmap through real-world insights from deployments.
Implementation Project Management: Develop project plans and ensure delivery milestones are met—managing dependencies, risks, and timelines with precision.
Continuous Improvement: Gather customer feedback post-implementation to refine onboarding playbooks and identify opportunities for product enhancement.

Skills & Traits We Value

Highly detail-oriented: you sweat the small stuff, you’ve managed complex implementations before and you know the watch-outs and hurdles to jump through for a successful delivery.
Insatiably curious: you are naturally motivated to go deep to learn how specific capture and removal pathways generate climate impact, how all types of data need to be tracked within these projects, how credits are traded on markets, how Mangrove’s product works. You take the time to stay abreast of new developments in the markets, and in data best practices.
Adaptable & Fast-Moving: You thrive in dynamic customer environments where requirements evolve quickly and success demands creative problem solving.
Curious & Climate-Motivated: You’re eager to understand how different decarbonization pathways work and how data underpins credible climate outcomes.
Customer-Driven: You act as a trusted partner and advocate for customers, focused on delivering value from day one.
Strong Communicator: You can simplify technical complexity and lead engaging, outcome-oriented discussions with customers.
Action-Oriented: You take initiative, solve problems in real time, and bias toward solutions over process.
Integrity & Team Orientation: You operate with honesty, collaboration, and a belief in the power of small, high-performing teams to deliver massive impact.

Qualifications & Experience

Successful candidates are likely to have the following qualifications and experiences; we strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the items below.
3+ years in a forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or technical implementation role, ideally in enterprise software, energy, or data-heavy industries.
Proven success leading complex, multi-stakeholder technical implementations from discovery to launch.
Strong familiarity with data systems (cloud platforms, APIs, databases, data pipelines) and scripting in SQL or Python.
Experience working directly with engineering teams and translating customer needs into clear technical requirements.
Domain familiarity with carbon markets, MRV systems, or project development strongly preferred.
Exceptional customer engagement and communication skills—able to interface equally effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. We’re growing and are excited to have teammates to join us who are the best at what they do. We’re passionate about building a diverse team that will make a meaningful impact on the planet.
