The Opportunity

Moment Energy is hiring an Applications Engineer who will be responsible for Managing client expectations and working with contractors to ensure successful fulfillment of projects and customer satisfaction. Responsible for delivery demands contributing to the timely delivery of our innovative energy storage solutions to customers around the world.

We want an energetic candidate who’s excited to support our efforts in sustainable energy technology. You will support a team that is creating second-life battery systems that will be deployed in renewable energy projects across North America.

The Role

  • $80,000 - $100,000 per year.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Successfully collaborate with customers to size future projects and determine optimal energy storage solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in understanding customer requirements and proposing suitable applications.
  • Stay updated on new solar and off-grid setups, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Proactively seek knowledge to enhance expertise in emerging energy storage solutions.
  • Lead project deployments, showcasing hands-on expertise in installing and commissioning new products within microgrid settings.
  • Conduct thorough site visits before deployments to survey project requirements, ensuring accurate planning.
  • Monitor and maintain existing project deployments, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with customers to debug and troubleshoot problems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Become the go-to expert on the integration of energy storage solutions with various equipment used in microgrid projects.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of hybrid inverters/chargers, energy management systems, solar inverters, generator controllers, etc.
  • Create comprehensive user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides for both current and future products.
  • Provide clear and accessible documentation to assist customers in understanding, operating, and maintaining the products.

The Candidate

  • Individuals with the following traits, skills and experiences should apply:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in energy storage, solar technologies, or microgrid systems.
  • Experience testing, installing and working with high-power electrical systems
  • Experience in leading and managing projects, from conception to completion including the management of subcontractors.
  • Previous experience in providing effective customer support, monitoring, and maintaining existing project deployments.

Interview Process

Due to a high volume of applicants, we are unable to respond to every application that we receive. If you are chosen to move forward, our interview process follows this sequence:

  1. 30-minute phone screen interview with a member of our team.
  2. 1 to 2 virtual 60-minute interviews with members of our team.
  3. In Person 60-minute values and fit interview with a co-founder.
  4. Reference checks.
  5. A decision is communicated and an offer is extended.
