Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electro Mechanical Assembler to work in our Hayward, California manufacturing site. In this line position reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for leading and administering factory floor activities that produce Motiv’s ePCS system components. Your ability to work with electronics and component assemblies, and to oversee the work of others to help us continuously improve the reliability, assembly, and quality of the company’s products.
We are looking for candidates that are ready and excited to take on the many responsibilities associated with running a hi-tech production facility. Your success at Motiv will be determined by your passion and self-motivation, as well as your skills and knowledge. Compensation in the form of a salary package will be based on your skills and experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Function as an assembler in a complex box build operation
- Support area manager in establishing standards, methods and processes as required
- Sort and resolve production line issues including drawing and BOM updates, work instructions and procedures
- Make suggestions for overall product quality and cost improvements
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years of experience in complex electronics assembly testing
- 1+ years of experience in building cables/harnesses
- General Education Diploma – extra schooling in related fields
- Ability to read wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of standard assembly tools, including air tools, electric drivers, torque tools and crimp tools
- Familiarity with high power assembly environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with standard office computer programs to record assembly activities and reference assembly instructions
- Good communication skills- verbal and written
- Good problem solving/analysis skills

- Some travel may be required
Work Environment:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 30 pounds
- Combination of Plant and Office Environment
- Occasional exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals within OSHA and California work environment statutes

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at time
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Salary Range:
- $28.00/hr (Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.)
This is a regular full-time position based in Hayward, CA.
