Position Title
Description
The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in the growth of our lithium extraction technology start-up. This position will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and developing and executing business strategies that support Novalith's goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the lithium ion battery supply chain including, mining of battery raw materials, battery chemicals and materials and or cell manufacturing/automotive.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the lithium technology industry and market trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue these opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and industry leaders.
- Develop and execute business strategies: Develop and execute business strategies that support the company's goals and objectives, including market entry strategies, pricing strategies, and product development strategies.
- Manage business partnerships: Negotiate and manage business partnerships and contracts with key stakeholders.
- Represent the company: Represent the company at industry events and trade shows, and engage in public speaking and thought leadership initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments: Including engineering, sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure that business development initiatives align with the overall goals of the company.
