What We're Looking For
An empathetic and creative thinker, scrappy operator, and strategic marketer who can lead a cross-functional team to optimize the Novi customer experience. This role will be responsible for creating the strategy to activate and onboard values-based CPG brands on the Novi platform. You’ll build a cross-functional culture of customer excellence and set the operating rhythm for the customer experience at Novi.
As your first order of business, you’ll work with the Novi leadership team and colleagues across marketing, sales, customer success, product, and operations to develop and execute a holistic brand activation playbook. You’ll architect the customer journey to sign up, submit documentation, earn certifications and badges, and optimize their product marketing efforts to appeal to conscious consumers. Your playbook will drive customer activation, adoption, delight, and product utilization. You’ll utilize one-to-many and one-to-one motions and tactics to drive repeatable outcomes that scale. You’ll build the materials, automations, and marketing channels needed to execute on the playbook. Through iterative testing, evaluation, and customer feedback loops, you’ll identify opportunities to add to and improve on the playbook until it meets Novi’s activation goals.
Responsibilities
Audit, map, and own current brand prospect and customer journey, noting key inflection points and opportunities for surprise and delight, gamification, marketing automation, more streamlined communications, and more.
Develop the desired customer activation and onboarding journey, designing both human and automated touchpoints and utilizing multiple mediums.
Work with retailer partners to develop and manage lists of brands who would benefit from using Novi.
Develop customer comms that gain brands’ attention and trust, and spur action.
Build best-in-class onboarding and education content, segmenting customers by goals, category, and audience for better relevancy.
Together with Product, identify where brands get stuck or lose steam in the onboarding and SKU registration flows. Collaborate cross-functionally to address hurdles, reduce friction, accelerate time to utilization, and derive greater value.
Build processes and materials that guide brands through the partner certification process. Bring suggestions to Product partners and certification bodies on how to streamline manual workload.
Systematically conduct user research and customer interviews to create a feedback loop between brands, Product Marketing, and Product.
Advise the Product team on benefits and features that would most enhance the brand experience.
Create and test playbooks and program ideas, tracking results, and reporting out on performance of defined goals.
Turn customers into evangelists. Build programs and incentives for customers to participate in joint thought leadership, case studies, and PR.
Partner with the sales and customer success leadership teams to ensure our approach to the entire customer lifecycle is optimized for retention and growth.
About You
7+ years in a strategic Product Marketing, Customer Experience, Customer Marketing, or similar role at a growth-stage B2B SaaS company or beloved CPG brand.
3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams (directly or indirectly).
Deep lifecycle marketing experience, with a strong track record of designing customer journeys and driving SaaS product adoption at scale.
Track record of building programs and playbooks that deliver repeatable, measurable outcomes.
A+ writer with extensive experience writing creative briefs, strategy memos, customer education resources, and email communications.
Strong verbal communicator with the ability to present to both internal and external senior audiences.
Highly analytical with a proven ability to run structured experiments that measure lift in adoption, retention, renewal, and expansion.
Highly empathic and creative– to deliver moments of surprise and delight that leave a lasting impact on our customers.

Base Salary Range
$120-$170K Annual Salary
Dependent on geographic location and past experience
