This position will be based in Charlotte, NC.
Summary of Role
Palmetto is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and execution focused leader to serve as Head of Palmetto’s HVAC and Heat Pump (together, “HVAC & HP”) business. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for scaling and owning our HVAC & HP Business Unit end-to-end, including the HVAC & HP product offering within our consumer marketplace as well as the HVAC & HP consumer financing product. This role is ideal for a proven business leader with deep HVAC & HP industry experience and a track record of driving new business lines from concept to scale. Key impact will be determined by operating metrics (speed-to-market, product adoption, etc) and financial metrics (volume, margin, cash flow).
Strategic & Tactical
- Build and scale Palmetto’s HVAC, HP consumer product and financing offerings, defining what success looks like and identifying growth opportunities.
- Define and drive the go-to-market strategy across sales channels, including dealer channels, OEMs, and our Inside Sales team.
- Establish fulfillment strategy and partnerships for the consumer product offering, enabling a seamless customer purchase experience.
- Identify and secure other key partnerships necessary to scale the business
- Lead strategy, operations, and execution to ensure we meet targets for this business segment
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless integration with Palmetto’s platform and consumer app
- Partner with the Capital Markets team to define funding needs for the financial product offering and ensure financing requirements are met
- Work with Palmetto business leaders on how the HVAC & HP segment fits into the overall Palmetto consumer marketplace and ecosystem of product offerings for consumers
- Own the P&L and metrics of the HVAC & HP channel, driving growth while ensuring strong unit economics and operational efficiency
- Build the right supporting team for the business segment
Qualifications
- Masterful at GTM and have a clear understanding of testing and scaling channel throughput
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- 10-15 years experience, with leadership roles in the HVAC & HP industry
- Demonstrated success in a GM, senior leadership, or business unit leadership role, owning both strategic direction and operational execution
- Deep network across the HVAC & HP ecosystem, including dealers, OEMs, distribution partners, and sales leaders
- Strong knowledge of HVAC & HP sales channels, dealer networks, and go-to-market models
- Experience developing or supporting consumer finance or embedded financial products is a plus

- HVAC & HP revenue growth and profitability
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets tied to HVAC & HP product sales, reflecting early traction and long-term scalability.
- Deliver overall profitability metrics for the HVAC & HP segment
- Sales channel activation & performance
- Establish and optimize key sales channels e.g,. Inside Sales, dealer, OEM partnerships, with clear metrics for volume, conversion, and economics.
