We’re seeking a Sr. Director or VP - Power & Energy Transition Product who will craft and execute strategy, competitive positioning, and go-to-market efforts for our Power & Energy Transition business. With your team of Power market subject matter experts, you’ll combine customer insight and market analysis to inform segment direction, collaborate across functions to bring plans to life, and support our commercial teams with clear, differentiated messaging. Success is measured by segment ARR and retention.
Performance Objectives
- Drive business unit product go-to-market (GTM) strategy: Lead a team responsible for business unit GTM strategy by analyzing market conditions, buyer needs, and industry shifts; translate insights into themes that inform roadmap, packaging, and pricing decisions.
- Identify and elevate cross-solution opportunities: Surface unmet needs and opportunities that span multiple offerings and work with senior leaders across product to shape potential solutions and prioritization.
- Support competitive intelligence efforts: Maintain and update SWOTs, battlecards, and competitor insights; contribute to positioning and enablement materials that help teams win.
- Execute GTM activities: Partner with Product Solutions, Intelligence, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and RevOps to help execute segment-specific motions, training programs, and collateral aligned to personas and use cases; be the “first call” for sales reps to leverage for their success with an opportunity; coordinate and guide input into pilot revenue-generating efforts.
- Engage with customers and the market: Conduct discovery and represent the company in customer meetings and industry events to gather insights that inform product and GTM decisions.
- Influence roadmap & packaging through evidence: Provide qualitative and quantitative inputs that support build/partner/buy recommendations, feature prioritization, packaging structure, and pricing discussions. Contributes to New and Notables document, L2 roadmap and PMG exercise.
- Track and report performance: Monitor segment performance (ARR, retention, adoption, pipeline) across sub-industries and product families; escalate risks or emerging trends with actionable recommendations.
Competitive Candidate Profile
- 5+ years in product, product strategy, segment marketing, solution consulting, or GTM roles for B2B technology or data products.
- Direct experience in Power & Energy transition software.
- Demonstrated experience taking new products to market and achieving target financial outcomes through persona targeting, value propositions, messaging, and product pricing.
- Strong competitive analysis skills and familiarity with SWOTs, battlecards, and differentiation frameworks.
- Strength in customer discovery and clear, professional communication, including translating insights for senior leadership and executives.
- Experience collaborating with Product Solutions teams to influence roadmap, packaging, and pricing.
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into actionable recommendations.
Travel Requirements: 15-30%
